The guest house is a small, stone-built traditional farmhouse that we renovated and modernised. It is surrounded by hedges of fuchsia, and offers superb views along the Owvane River valley to Bantry Bay. A new extension has been added, providing a new spacious and bright meditation room,  kitchen, dining and sitting area.  It was built to ecological standards with the use of organic building components and nontoxic paints, oils, and materials.

The guesthouse can comfortably accommodate 9 guests in 2 twin and 5 single rooms.

There is no TV nor radio nor WiFi in the guesthouse. We cannot turn off your mobile phones. You have to do it yourself


We put a lot of effort into careful food preparation and thus pay respect to our ingredients as much as to the well-being of our guests. Breakfast usually consists of home-baked whole meal and other breads, a selection of Irish cheeses, a choice of cereals and porridge from a variation of freshly milled grains, with the occasional Full Irish Breakfast , if so desired. Lunch is usually a vegetarian spread with a selection of fresh vegetables and herb teas. Dinner consists of a scrumptious starter, a main course with vegetables, sometimes meat, fresh salads and a deliciously sweet desert.

Full Board: When the house is not fully booked we offer Bed & Breakfast, packed lunch and dinner (except 1 evening) at € 550 per week.

During the winter months at other times than the ones listed rooms are available for self-catering guests. Especially the winter months in our mild Gulf Stream climate are suitable for long-term contemplative stays. Prices: €27 per person/day, for stays longer than 3 weeks €22 per day.
